Balancing Luxury and Value at the CitadelleDuring my recent stay at the Citadelle, I experienced a mix of comfort and practicality that may appeal to travelers like me seeking a sustainable yet luxurious getaway. The hotel's position at the entrance of the town offers breathtaking views of the Rock of Baumé and the Citadelle, particularly captivating at night. Our spacious room, equipped with a kitchenette and a comfortable bed, invited restful nights. The large flat-screen TV and efficient Wi-Fi were functional perks that added to the convenience, making it a suitable choice for both leisure and business travelers. Though the restaurant presented an adequate menu, the highlight was undoubtedly the panoramic view of the rock. Outdoor dining was not feasible due to wind, which detracted slightly from the experience. The check-in was friendly, and I appreciated the secure storage option for my bicycle. While the hotel offers paid parking, the bustling street below could be lively, especially during events. The Citadelle stands as a good option for those balancing luxury with value, providing essential amenities and a prime location worth considering for your next stay.
